I learnt that the biggest purpose for marriage, the reason why God created marriage was, not just to make for the man a helpmeet. Why did Man need a helpmeet? The answer is War. God knew that lifetime was going to be a time of war and knew that the only way to equip man for war was to give him his own woman/partner. So, God felt marriage was the container in which he could give Man a lifetime partner, one who will not leave his side come rain or shine because Man needs a partner at all times for war.
It is also why Jesus used marital terms to describe his relationship with the church against the Kingdom of darkness and why the book of Revelations is filled with analogies of the Bride and the Bridegroom. Marriage was the closest thing God could use to describe it, marriage is also the one thing that does not exist in Heaven, meaning the form of marriage we experience here on earth is really to prepare us for a war that does not exist in Heaven hence why God did not create marriage in Heaven because we don’t need that kind of partnership for a war that does not exist anymore. I am still thinking about all of it, it’s quite profound so no hyperlinks, go do your own research and meditation.
What a tumultuous week it was in Silicon Valley with the OpenAI drama! I like people who are cautiously contrarian so I loved reading this article that tried to paint the picture by asking a different question from what the consensus was asking. Casey Newton is usually the person with all the tech scoops so I was amazed he was rather quiet through the weekend while Kara Swisher and Ashlee Vance had all the tea but he did write a good summary here.

Bongos Ikwue said he’s been searching for true love on a song, and he ended the song by saying if you keep on searching, you will find. This week, my friend also told me that the popular Proverbs scripture about “he who finds a wife finding a good thing” presupposes that a rigirous search is taking place. So it means a man must actively and intentionally be searching before they find a wife. This lesson is probably lost on the men in this article who complain that they've not been able to find marriable women (whatever that means). After reading the article, use this as an excuse to stream Bongos’ melodious baritone voice.
Something is happening to the political system of the world, but it’s not new. We have seen this before, matter of fact the early days of the 20th century was fuelled and driven by populism, and it’s making a comeback. In Argentina, they have elected an outsider (no political experience) as President solely based on his radical remarks of running government a different way and based on his remarks he seems likely to do some of the crazy things he’s promised. Let’s hope Argentina is better off for it. In Ecuador, they have sworn in a 35 year old as President and it’s such a remarkable story. The Netherlands have also gone through their own cycle with the electoral win of Geert Wilders and his crew. People just don’t learn, it’s the same way Bolsonaro and Barrow were praised and they ended up being disasters.

I have been struggling to fill this section up but I cannot think of anything so I will fill it up with food. Have you ever wondered why Americans celebrate Thanksgiving with turkey. Well I was curious because it was thanksgivign weekend and there was lots of food, merry and happiness so I thought to figure out why. This article tells you why, this one too.
The unspoken question on most American’s lips that no one is asking is this; who will be our President come January 2025? It’s just a year to the elections and there’s no clarity. If Biden and Trump decide not to run now, there is no credible alternative. If Trump’s legal troubles succeed in stopping him, I do not see any credible Republican who can win votes and please don’t mention Vivek Ramaswamy (quite impressed I spelt his name correctly without googling). For the Democratic Party, please don’t mention Kamala Harris (you already know what I think of her in Pillow 052). Anyway, back to Biden and Trump.
Always True!
